This mom of two reflects on adjusting to a major change and the support she felt from Saint Mary School!

After homeschooling both of my daughters, making the decision to enroll them at Saint Mary School was a huge one for me. It came with a lot of emotions, uncertainty, and honestly, some anxiety about letting go and trusting someone else with such an important part of their lives. On their very first days, I was met with so much kindness, love, and genuine support that it completely shifted my perspective on what the school experience could feel like. The teachers and staff not only made my girls feel welcomed, safe, and cared for, but they also remembered the parents standing on the other side of that transition.

I’ll never forget dropping the girls off and then sitting in the parking lot for an entire hour, hoping they were okay, hoping they didn’t need me, and wondering how they were doing without me there. Then came the emails, photos, updates, and words of encouragement letting us know that the girls were doing well. Those little moments of communication meant so much more than they probably realized. They gave me reassurance, allowed me to breathe, and helped me make a transition that I initially thought would be so difficult feel natural and comfortable. I am truly grateful and filled with joy knowing that there are such caring, compassionate people here to help guide, support, and care for my family. Saint Mary has reminded me that choosing a school isn’t just about finding a place for your children to learn but also it’s about finding a community that cares for the whole family.
