Traditions

Each year students, families and staff look forward to fun-filled annual events.  Starting off our year with the annual Ice Pop Social brings returning students back together after summer break and is an opportunity for new students and families to connect before the start of the school year.  The leaves turn and fall, and our students are dressing up for Halloween and frolicking through the SMS parking lot for our Annual Trunk or Treat. During Advent, our Grade 2 students perform the Annual Christmas Pageant and our K-8 students sing in our Annual Christmas Concert.  The winter can be long, but when you have the Father-Daughter Dance, Alumni Basketball Game and Catholic Schools Week to look forward to, the long winter goes by a little more quickly.  Let’s not forget our Annual Mother-Son Event where our boys and their moms get moving, play games and enjoy a night of fun together.  In the spring we look forward to Field Day, our Spring Concert and our end-of-year Shaved Ice Truck.  It’s amazing that we learn so much while having so much fun!
