A healthy body is just as essential as a healthy mind, and at Saint Mary School, students can nurture healthy bodies through a variety of after school sports activities. In conjunction with the Diocese of Bridgeport Saint Sebastian Athletic League, students are invited to participate in cross country, basketball and track. Games and meets are scheduled by the diocese and are played with other diocesan elementary schools on weekends or evenings. Other after-school sports include cheerleading, soccer and volleyball.

Register for Fall Cross Country - Grades 5-8

Registration is now open for the Fall 2026 Cross Country season! Boys and Girls in Grades 5-8 are invited to participate.

Practices will be held on Wednesdays, beginning on September 16, from 2:30-3:30 pm at Saint Mary School.

The meet schedule is not yet available, but meets will be held on Sunday afternoons at St. Joseph High School, Trumbull, or Immaculate HS/Tarrywile Park, Danbury. Attendance at meets is encouraged, but not mandatory.

We also need parent volunteers for co-coaching at practices and meets. Since we practice outside, this will ensure the safety of our runners. Parents of all participating students should be aware that they are responsible for any medical expenses that may arise from an injury to their child during these athletic events. Parents will also be responsible for their child’s or children’s transportation to and from Immaculate High School and St. Joseph High School for meet dates. Parents are expected to stay at the event as long as their child or children are participating.

The registration fee for Cross Country will be $125. Please register below. All charges will be made directly to your FACTS account. Please note that there will be no refunds. Volunteer options will be available during your sign-up.

If a student must miss a practice session, please make that update in Pikmykid. You will be charged for the classes you have selected via FACTS billing. Prompt payment is required.
