As parents, we often feel like we know our kids deep down to their core. But sometimes we get it wrong. In times when either my child made a bad choice or was on the receiving end of someone else’s bad choice, I found that after the initial urge to fly off the handle subsided, everything was handled face to face with responsible and respectful transparency. I’ve come to learn this type of considerate and constructive conversation does not always happen everywhere.
