This program is designed for those students who want to learn and develop basketball skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and game strategies, while also learning the fundamentals of teamwork.
Practices will begin on Wednesday, December 3rd, after school from 2:30 to 3:30 and continue through the end of February).
Games will start in January and run for six weeks, held on Sundays in the afternoon for approximately two hrs. Last year, games were mostly hosted at St. Joseph’s Danbury and Saint Mary’s Bethel. The format included a referee and a round-robin style with participating teams. Saint Mary School Ridgefield will be participating as a co-ed team.
A more detailed schedule will be shared in early December, with locations determined based on gym availability.
Parents of all participating students should be aware that they are responsible for any medical expenses that may arise out of injury occurring to their child in the course of these athletic events. Parents are also responsible for their child’s transportation to game events, and are expected to stay at the event as long as their child or children are participating.
This league is open to boys and girls of all skill levels — whether your child is brand new to basketball or looking to develop their game further, this is a great opportunity to learn and grow. Please click here to review the Student-Athlete Parent Student Handbook.
