Mass, Sacraments, and Adoration

Grade 8 students at a retreat.

Mass

Students attend Mass on the First Friday of every month and on Holy Days of Obligation.  Student readers and altar servers play an important role in the Mass each month.  Our older students accompany younger students to Mass through our Buddy Program and serve as models to the younger students during Mass.

Sacraments

Students in second grade receive sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion at school as a part of their religion curriculum. Students in sixth grade receive sacramental preparation for Confirmation as a part of the sixth grade religion curriculum.  Saint Mary School works in conjunction with Saint Mary Parish to ensure that our students are prepared to make their sacraments.  Additionally, our devoted parish priests are available to hear confessions regularly during the school year, and also schedule confession times during Advent and Lent.

Adoration

Students in Middle School attend weekly Adoration, and students in elementary school attend Adoration on a monthly or bimonthly basis at St. Mary Church.
