Take a breath and enjoy childhood just a minute longer.

Many studies outline the benefits of a Preschool/Kindergarten through Grade 8 education.  Students are the most comfortable, feel the safest, and perform better academically than students at traditional middle schools.  A Preschool-Grade 8 school provides age-based learning that focuses on each child’s developmental needs. Here are just some benefits:

  • The continuity of teachers, classmates, programs, expectations and culture appears to enhance academic, social and emotional development for students lending to greater academic achievement and improved self-esteem and confidence.

  • Collaboration among teachers and administrators enables every child to be known thoroughly as they move through the school community.

  • Support systems that have been established remain intact.

  • “Buddy” programs between grade levels have positive effects on both younger and older students, providing a positive role model for younger children while enhancing the self-esteem of older children.

  • Middle School students are not “caught in the middle,” but take on leadership roles.  At the same time, they can be themselves, often remaining “younger” a bit longer and not as directly influenced by social pressures.

  • Children can take risks in a safe environment free from judgment

  • When children are comfortable there is more opportunity for curiosity, collaboration and creative thinking.
