Getting to Know Ms. McDonald- New PK4s Assistant Teacher

Dear Saint Mary School Family,

I would like to introduce myself and let you know how excited and honored I am to be joining the SMS family as the Assistant Teacher in the Pre-K classroom. Over the past year, I have been able to work as a substitute teacher and assistant teacher at Saint Mary School, and I know what a very special place it is! I thank Ms. Sechi for welcoming me to this wonderful classroom, and I look forward to meeting all of you and your precious children.

After graduating from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Coaching, I have been keeping very busy substitute teaching at SMS and in New York State. (It will be terrific to now work in the same classroom every day!) I also look forward to continuing my coaching career at Ridgefield High School with both the boys and girls Volleyball teams. I played High School, Club, and Collegiate Volleyball, and I enjoy coaching in the private club arena as well. Sports and fitness are a passion of mine!

I am the youngest of a close, Catholic family from Dutchess County, NY, with two sisters and one brother. We are a family of educators! My mother is an Elementary Principal in NY, and my father is a Physical Education teacher. My sister, Cassidy McDonald, teaches second grade at SMS. She is my best friend, and we look forward to working together!

I can’t wait to meet your children and to watch them grow and learn every day. This is such a special age group! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I am looking forward to an amazing year ahead!

Sincerely,

Miss Krysti McDonald
